Allan began working at a young age in the family photography business. Early on he learned the value of high quality customer service and communication from his parents. After graduating with distinction from High School Allan worked in the IT industry where he developed detailed troubleshooting, workflow design skills and an appreciation of how technologies can improve business to build better value for customers. Throughout Allan continued to pursue higher education and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration (Finance & Accounting) Degree with distinction and joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) and now as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). At PwC Allan was involved with companies in mining, insurance, forestry, manufacturing, distribution, property management and Not-For-Profit (NPO) entities. These entities ranged from 2 person operations through multi-billion dollar companies providing Allan with an extensive range of experiences in Public, Private and NPO entities. He worked on financial reporting, compliance, COSO controls, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, tax and was part of the team that publishes the PwC BC Mining Survey titled “The Mining Industry in British Columbia.” After departing PwC Allan has gone on to serve as Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for various companies in full cycle accounting and financial reporting. When demand continued to grow, Allan founded M&E Services Ltd naming it after his two sons, Mason & Elric, and continues to grow both the Public Practice and Services sides of the company.
